Why Armonia?

It has become commonplace that Internet is challenging "traditional" copyright administration. Experience shows that an efficient and cost effective administration of rights is an indispensable condition for the exercise of authors’ and publishers' rights in musical works.

The transborder nature of the web has transformed copyright management. Commercial users who exploit musical works must obtain multiple licenses when they want to have access to repertoires in a multiterritory scope.

Music services can be supplied to individual final users by means of everchanging business models. Music stores, mobile music phone subscriptions, dual mode downloads, advertisement funded services...and many unprecedented others. Solutions and schemes that simplify the use of music by legitimate Internet services are needed. The Armonia joint platform is the solution that partner societies SACEM, SIAE and SGAE are offering to music providers.

Representing the repertoires of several of the largest Authors’ Societies in Europe and Latin-America jointly with major publishers Universal Music Publishing, and Latin Works of SONY/ATV, EMI Music Publishing and Peer Music, Armonia gives access to more than 5 million works.
